In a time when Americans are paying more attention to wellness, a silent epidemic is growing. The rising number of Americans suffering from hearing loss comes from people living longer and from increased levels of noise in our day-to-day lives. Only one in five people with hearing loss seeks help, and therefore have a reduced quality of life. Help make more people aware of the ways in which they can improve their hearing. and, their enjoyment of life!

The Audiology Awareness Campaign is designed to make people aware of an important hearing health care resource - their local audiologist.

The Audiology Awareness Campaign is a non-profit organization who has set up this site with two goals in mind. Help persons find information about hearing loss, and let them know that the profession of audiology is dedicated to giving them the best professional hearing health care service available.

We are looking for professionals to help us fill in the gaps for our Hearing Help Library. Many of you have written, or have access to, patient friendly brochures on hearing, hearing loss, and hearing aids. There is not a better way to show off your professional knowledge than to submit an article to the AAC Hearing Help Library. Feel free to submit articles on whatever topic you like. You can even submit an article on a topic that has already been published here at the AAC site! The more the merrier!
